Slice of Sussex
This book will be No 2 in the “Slice Of” series. The first being Slice of Kent which will be published at the beginning of February. Each book contains 2 recipes from prominent chefs within the county. These are complemented by articles on wine and spirit producers and a few artisan food makers. In addition, there will be articles on produce that is important to Sussex.
The book is designed to be aspirational, inspirational and to provide a deeper knowledge of Sussex’s food. The Slice of Kent website is www.sliceofkent.co.uk

What does in cost to be in the book?
Nothing at all. Although it would be nice if you purchased them to sell in your restaurant. You are under no obligation or pressure to do so though.
What do you need from us?
I need 2 recipes for dishes that have at least some Sussex produce in them. We will discuss these on a first come, first serve basis to avoid duplication. We will then visit to photograph and taste the dishes with you. During the tasting we will inteview you to discuss the dish and gain some insights into your thought processes behind it.
How long will you be with us for?
Around 60-90 mins which will be before or after lunch service.
Where will the book be available to purchase?
As well as most of the restaurants in the book it will be available is farmshops, delis, some other stores and newsagents, online and Amazon.
Who else is in the book?
If the reception to the book is anything like Kent then most of the top restaurants in Kent.
Can we buy the images from you to use?
Yes you can for just £100 but if you need fresh images for your website or Instagram (does anyone use Facebook or Twitter these days?) then I can offer you a 50% discount and provide a 1/2 days shooting for just £250 plus vat.
I would prefer my own dedicated cookbook!

What will the book look like and what do I need to do?
I have given an example below. I will get most of the information during the tasting. I just the recipe written down when I arrive.
