Australian Bushfire Donations

DRINKS FOR AUSTRALIA – CAN YOU HELP?

The Australian Bush fires have made the news globally due to the utter devastation they have caused. People have died alongside hundreds of millions of animals. Furthermore, millions have lost their habitat, been burned or need our help desperately. I am asking the drink and hospitality industries to come together and help the charities in Australia by donating a bottle or two. See below about what happens to the bottle and how it will help raise vital funds.

All of the proceeds will go to various charities (minus direct costs such as payment processing fees). We will take ZERO money for doing this.

How You Can Get Involved

Donate cash or donate bottles.

Donate bottles

If you are a drinks brand or a licensed premise post us a bottle, a few bottles or a case. We will photograph these bottles and send you the image for you to proudly display on your social channels. The image will have a logo saying that you have donated just like the one shown to the right. Please add #drinksforaustralia to any post you make.

What happens to the bottles?

We will team up with a London bar/restaurant/retailer to sell the bottles and 100% of the monies raised (minus direct costs like payment processing fees) will go to the charities directly involved in helping those affected. We will not take ANY money ourselves for admin or time. That is our donation.

Why we are asking for your help

The bushfires that are raging through Australia have devastated a huge area. Half a BILLION animals have been affected, 27 people have died, thousands of homes have been destroyed, towns devastated.

We need to provide aid to help not only the people but the animals who will now rely on us to aid their recovery and rebuild their habitats.

By donating a bottle (or a few) you can make a real difference to so many. I know there are an abundance of charities asking for your help but this is something that needs to be actioned now.

FAQ’s

What happens to unsold bottles?
We will organise a series of tastings and use the bottles there. All profits will go towards the charities.

We would like to donate a meal or room for two. Can we do this?
Absolutely – We will hold a silent auction on the site.

Can we include a business card in our photo?
Yes – we will lean it up against the front of the bottle.

Can we send more than one bottle?
Please do! You will receive an image of each individual bottle that you send.

Can we have an image without the logo?
I am afraid not as this is for charity and we want to promote it. If you would like pack shots for commercial use, then we are happy to do this with a different or white background simply in exchange for an additional bottle. Please make this clear when you send the bottles to us.

My Story

In my early 20’s I spent a year in Australia and fell in love with the country. The diversity, the people and the unique animals. It is an amazing country.

I am now food and drinks photographer and cookbook publisher. Prior to this I owned a fine wine merchants that specialised in Australian wines. This led to me being commissioned to write a book on Australian Wine by a major publisher having been featured in the Financial Times by Jancis Robinson.

Going back further I was a Sommelier in a Michelin starred restaurant winning the Academie Culinare du France Annual Award of Excellence. I also completed Stagiers at Le Gavroche, The Ritz and The Turnberry.
